The training of researchers: pending matter in the venezuelan universities

Abstract
The present theoretical approach aims to attract interest to resume the offer that the mission commits the university to about what? and the who? in promoting the research culture. Linking the functions of teaching, research, production and dissemination, attention is paid to the scientific and technological system that manages the research, which should include support and attention to the researcher, as well as their training and encouragement. The theoretical journey starts from a look at the university, which in its complexity involves society as a whole, highlighting the importance of educating, and promoting research, training researchers and generating new knowledge, contributing to knowledge and to social, scientific and technological development. The review of materials and the reflection on them concludes that the training of researchers remains unfinished at the university, as well as the production and generation of new knowledge
