Abstract

Migratory processes imply, within their dynamic essence, the displacement of people who can be seen as economic entities that could affect the two material flows of the income cycle: on the one hand, they are in themselves a productive factor, since they can offer their capacity of work and, on the other hand, they are demanders of goods and services, with which they modify the conditions of the market of goods and services, both public and private. However, the social and political orientation that unfolds both in the country of departure and in the country of arrival, will be the indicator that, in principle, drives the migratory flow and consequently establishes the way in which it affects the economic conditions of the destination. end of migratory movement. This article seeks to analyze the roles that the immigrant can play in the economic context, understood as an entity capable of leading economic events: produce, distribute and consume; At the same time, their actions framed in the interest of their physical geographic displacement would influence the macro vision of national economic structures, having as a reference the influence of the Venezuelan diaspora in the Colombian economy. In this sense, determining aspects are recognized, such as, in principle, the level of professionalization of the immigrant and his potential manifested in the productivity and competitiveness of the economy of the receiving country, as long as the opportunity is enhanced, based on the design of effective job placement policies by the State of the destination nation. In the background, the role of the immigrant as a productive factor and consumer in the possible transformation of the economic structure that welcomes him will be visualized.
