Mobile applications in the education 4.0 of unified general baccalaureate students of the San Cristobal Canton – Galapagos province

Abstract
Currently, the population lives in an era where technology has become one of the main allies to carry out various activities in the personal, educational and professional spheres; However, in the educational process there is a large technological gap, despite having smart devices, 4.0 technology and a wide range of mobile applications for various fields within education, they are not taken advantage of due to lack of knowledge, preparation and in many cases a total lack of motivation on the part of the educational community. The province of Galapagos, despite being recognized worldwide for tourism, which enters daily, does not have an internet service that meets the minimum needs of users in both connectivity and information support, this being one of the worst provinces in connectivity of Ecuador. Considering that technology provides a variety of mobile applications that would perfectly be a useful tool in the teaching-learning process, unfortunately, it is not implemented in educational centers. The research is of an exploratory-analytical type since it allows a diagnosis of the use of Apps within the educational process as well as the implementation of Mobile learning as an implementation of Education 4.0; The research population is focused on young students of the Unified General Baccalaureate level of the San Cristóbal canton, through anonymous surveys, it was possible to determine that they use very few mobile applications in the educational field, these being by self-preparation rather than by the disposition of a teacher. or within the teaching-learning process. In this way, it is concluded that these Apps are used more frequently in other types of resources such as leisure, social networks, videos, and games.
