Management of public investment projects in local development in a peruvian regional government

Abstract
The objective was determining the influence of public investment project management on local development in the regional government of Peru, within the framework of SDG 8: stimulating economic growth through decent work. The methodology, it was conducted under quantitative approach and non-experimental cross-sectional design, surveys were applied to employees of a regional government, using questionnaires as an instrument and SPSS software to analyses the data. The results highlight that technical capacity, planning, control, and the allocation of economic resources are key factors for local progress, with perceived effectiveness having a regular influence. Furthermore, a significant influence of these factors on local development is evident, with a Nagelkerke coefficient of 69.8%. The parameter estimates show a Wald of 59.095 and the p-value (0.000) is below the significance level (0.05), so the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It is concluded that, with a 95% confidence level, project management significantly influences local development in a region of Peru. Therefore, effective public investment project management is key to sustainable development in Madre de Dios
